My two cents:
I had never looked into the first session of Continental Congress, but this is an interesting point and I may have to look into it further. I would have like to have been around whenever the first sovereign or politician came up with the idea to tax land. I guess the modern-day equivalent is inventing a tax for carbon emissions…and to think there was a group on Facebook that wanted that…
